Quick answer
Yes, Tradition Locksmith works in Ocean Breeze, FL 34957. We are a mobile locksmith based in Port St. Lucie, about 10 miles and 20 minutes away. Most calls here are home lockouts, rekeys after a home is bought or sold, door hardware on manufactured homes, and keypad or lever locks that are easier for older hands.
It is, and a very small one. The Town of Ocean Breeze covers about a fifth of a square mile on the Indian River. Jensen Beach wraps around it on the other sides, which is why so many people think it is just part of Jensen Beach. The 2020 Census counted 301 residents. Town Hall is at 1508 NE Jensen Beach Boulevard, and council meetings are held in the resort clubhouse.
Its history is unusual. Harry and Queena Hoke came to Martin County in a red trailer in the 1930s and bought 23 acres of an old pineapple plantation. In 1938 they opened Ocean Breeze Trailer Park. In 1960, 142 property owners in the park voted to become the Town of Ocean Breeze Park, and the 65-acre park was said to be the largest privately owned trailer park in the country. Dorothy Geeben, who served as mayor from 2001 to 2010, was called the oldest mayor in the nation when she won reelection at 96.
In 2013 the park was sold to Carefree RV Resorts, and that December voters dropped “Park” from the town’s name. Old trailers came out and new homes went in. The resort is now run by Sun Communities, and a brand-new 2026 modular home was listed there this year. So a locksmith call in Ocean Breeze might mean a manufactured home in the resort, a brand-new modular home or a single-family house built in the last few years.
Local knowledge
Ocean Breeze sits at the east end of Jensen Beach Boulevard, where it meets Indian River Drive along the lagoon. From central Port St. Lucie it is about 10 miles. The drive is simple: south on U.S. 1, turn east onto Jensen Beach Boulevard and stay on it until Indian River Drive. Without traffic that is close to 20 minutes.
Today the town is mostly three things. Ocean Breeze Resort, at 3000 NE Indian River Drive, is a gated, 55 and older manufactured home community of about 45 acres on the water. The town also holds the Ocean Breeze Plaza shopping center, anchored by Publix. Right beside the plaza is Seawalk, a newer D.R. Horton neighborhood of single-family homes that is not age-restricted and has its own homeowners association.
Condos and coastal homes on the river.
What we do here
Every service below is mobile. We bring the tools and parts to your door, driveway or parking lot in Ocean Breeze.
Locked out of a house, car or business. Damage-free entry first, proof of ownership every time.
Deadbolts, knobs, sliders and storm doors fitted and repaired at your home.
New pins so old keys stop working, or new hardware when the lock is worn out.
Keypad and Wi-Fi deadbolts fitted, aligned and set up with your codes.
Remote head keys, flip keys and push to start fobs, programmed on site.
Storefront and office locks, closers, panic bars and staff change rekeys.
Master key systems, keypads and fob readers for offices and rentals.
Lever handles, a keypad deadbolt and one key for every door are the changes that help older residents most. Ocean Breeze Resort is a 55 and older community, and small things matter. Round knobs are hard to turn with sore hands or wet hands. Small keys are hard to line up when the porch light is dim. A deadbolt that sticks is a deadbolt that stops getting locked.
None of it needs to be fancy. A lever handle can replace a knob on most doors. A keypad means there is no key to drop or forget. Rekeying lets one key work every door instead of three. Then make a plan for who else can get in, like a lockbox code for a son or daughter, a home health aide or a neighbor who checks on the house. If you change aides or helpers, change the code or rekey that day.
We explain your options in plain words, and we do not push extra hardware. If cleaning and adjusting a lock fixes it, that is what we will tell you. Our residential locksmith page shows the full list of home services.
Florida has no state locksmith license, and Martin County requires only a general Business Tax Receipt, so checking is up to you. Ask for the total price before anyone comes, and expect a marked vehicle and ID at the door. Our page on how to spot a fake locksmith shows what else to check.
Keys left inside the house or car, or a door that latched behind you on the way to the mailbox. Damage-free methods first.
New to the house? Rekey so only you hold working keys, without buying new locks.
Set codes for family and helpers, and stop hiding a key outside. Pick one with a key backup for power outages.
Salt air off the lagoon is hard on outside hardware. We clean, adjust or replace, and tell you which one makes sense.
Here is the typical range for each common job in town. Your exact total is quoted on the phone before we drive out, with no surprise fees.

Prices are ranges, not quotes. The total you hear on the phone is the total you pay.
Lock up fully, leave a way back in with someone you trust, and test every door once the storm has passed. Ocean Breeze sits right on the Indian River, and the town keeps an emergency and FEMA page for residents. In 2023 meeting minutes, the town listed Jensen Beach High School on NW Goldenrod Road as an evacuation shelter. Shelter lists change, so check with Martin County each season.
Before you leave, lock each deadbolt and feel the bolt go fully out, then check that the sliders latch. If you use a keypad, put in fresh batteries and give the code to a family member. After the storm, check that doors still close and lock, since a door frame that moved in the wind can stop the bolt from seating. If one will not lock, call us during our hours and we will tell you the price before we come.
Call and tell us your address and what is wrong. If you live in the resort, let us know, because the gate is run by the community and we may need you or the office to let us in. We give you the total price, and if you say yes, we head out. We are out early mornings and late evenings six days a week: 7am to 11pm Sunday through Thursday, 7am to 5pm Friday, and closed Saturday.
Our technician comes in a marked van and shows you ID. Before a door gets opened, you will need something with your name and this address on it, like closing papers from the home sale. Any honest locksmith should ask for that. Be wary of one who does not.
We also cover the neighbors. Most of the area around town is Jensen Beach, and we work down Indian River Drive in Sewall’s Point, just south in Rio, and in Stuart, too.
FAQ
Yes. We work on homes inside Ocean Breeze Resort at 3000 NE Indian River Drive, the 55 and older community. Because it is gated, tell us when you call so you or the office can let us through. We can open, rekey or replace the lock on your own home. We cannot change the community gate system.
The town is small and easy to miss. Ocean Breeze and Jensen Beach share ZIP code 34957, and Town Hall itself uses a Jensen Beach mailing address. The town includes the resort, the Publix plaza and the Seawalk homes beside it. Either way we serve you, so just give us your street address when you call.
Sometimes, but not always. Many manufactured home doors are thinner than house doors and swing out, so a standard deadbolt may not fit or work right. Send a photo or tell us the brand on the lock when you call. We will tell you what fits before you spend money on hardware that does not.
Rekey them. You do not know how many keys the last owner, the builder, family or a past caregiver still has. A rekey swaps the pins inside each cylinder, which kills every old key, and it costs less than new locks. We can key every door to one key while we are there.
For many families, yes. A keypad means no small key to fumble with, and you can give a code to a neighbor, aide or relative and change it later. Choose one with a large, lit keypad and a key backup. We can install it and show your parent how it works before we leave.
