Lock and car brands we work on
Start here
Pick the one that sounds like your day. Each page explains how we handle it and what it usually costs.
Keys left inside, a lock that will not turn, or a key snapped off in the deadbolt. We try damage-free entry first and ask for proof that you live there.
Keys on the seat, in the trunk or in the ignition. We open most cars and trucks without scratching paint or tearing door seals.
We cut and program transponder keys, remote head keys and push-to-start fobs right at your car, for most makes except German brands.
Shop and office lockouts, rekeys after a staff change, master key systems, keypads, fob readers and panic bars.
Every service below is mobile. We bring the tools and parts to your door, driveway or parking lot.
Lock repairs, new deadbolts, sliding glass door locks and storm door hardware for houses, villas and condos.
Storefront and office locks, door closers and panic bars, and rekeys when a key leaves with a former employee.
Car lockouts, ignition help and new keys made on site. Most makes, but not BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche or Mini.
Locked out of a house, car or business during our open hours. Damage-free entry first and proof of ownership every time.
Rekey Kwikset, Schlage and other common locks so old keys stop working, or switch to new hardware. One key for every door if you want it.
We install and set up keypad and Wi-Fi deadbolts, and line up the door so the bolt throws clean every time.
Transponder chip keys and laser cut keys, cut and programmed at your car, including when every key is lost.
Remote head keys, flip keys and push-to-start smart keys, programmed to your car where it sits.
Master key systems, keypads and fob readers for offices, clubhouses, HOA pool gates and rental units.
Tell us where you are, what is locked or lost, and what kind of lock or car it is. For a car, the year, make, model and VIN help us price it right.
We give you the total price for the job on the phone. If it works for you, we head your way. If it does not, you owe us nothing.
Our technician shows up in a marked Tradition Locksmith van and shows you ID. If someone arrives in a plain car with no business name, do not let them start.
Before we open a door or make a key, we ask for a photo ID with the address, a lease, a registration or a title. It keeps your home and car safe from the wrong person.
We explain your options, do the work and test it with you. If something on site is different from the call, we stop and tell you before doing anything extra.
From Tradition to Stuart, one phone call gets you a real price.

Local knowledge
We work in 18 areas across St. Lucie County, Martin County and Melbourne, all from our base in Port St. Lucie. In St. Lucie County, that runs from Port St. Lucie and St. Lucie West up through River Park, Lakewood Park, White City and both sides of Fort Pierce, the county seat.
South of the county line we cover Martin County, including Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Port Salerno, Hobe Sound, Indiantown, Rio, Ocean Breeze, North River Shores and Sewall’s Point. North in Brevard County, we serve Melbourne.
Port St. Lucie started in 1958, when the General Development Corporation bought 40,000 acres along the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. It became a city in 1961. Later building booms added newer areas on the west side, like St. Lucie West and Tradition. That mix of older and newer homes means very different locks. An older house may still have its original knob and deadbolt, worn smooth after years of use. A newer one may have a keypad lock, a garage entry door and an HOA pool gate fob. Near the water, salt air is hard on lock parts, so a lock that sticks or grinds is worth a look before it fails.
The name is about how we work. The locksmith trade has some old-school habits worth keeping. Tell people the price straight. Do the job right the first time. Explain the options, instead of selling the most expensive one.
It is also about where we come from. We are based in Port St. Lucie, near Tradition, the master-planned community west of I-95 off Gatlin Boulevard and Tradition Parkway. To be clear, we are not part of the Tradition community, its developer or any of its HOAs. We just like the name and what it stands for.

FAQ
A home lockout usually runs $90 to $150 and a car lockout $75 to $140. Those are typical ranges. Your exact total is quoted on the phone before we drive out, based on the job, the lock or key type, the time of day and how far we drive. You can see every range on our pricing page.
We work Sunday to Thursday from 7am to 11pm, and Friday from 7am to 5pm. We are closed on Saturday. We are not a 24 hour service, and we will not pretend to be. Early mornings and late evenings, 6 days a week, cover most lockouts and key jobs.
We serve 18 areas in St. Lucie County, Martin County and Melbourne in Brevard County. That includes Port St. Lucie, St. Lucie West, Fort Pierce, Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound and Indiantown. If you are not sure your street is covered, call and ask. We will tell you straight.
We do not service German brands: BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche and Mini. We work on most other makes, including Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Jeep and Ram. We say this up front so you do not wait on a van that cannot help you.
Because the person standing at the door is not always the owner. Before we open a home or car or make a key, we ask for a photo ID with the address, a lease, a registration or a title. It takes a minute, and it protects you. A locksmith who skips this step will open anyone's door.
We accept [PAYMENT METHODS]. You pay once the work is done and you have tested it with the technician. The amount should match the total you heard on the phone, unless you asked for extra work on site. You can ask about payment when you call for your quote.
It depends on where you are and what is already on the schedule. When you call, we give you an honest arrival estimate along with the price, so you can decide. Calls in and around Port St. Lucie are usually the quickest to reach, since that is where we are based.
If your locks work fine and you just want old keys to stop working, rekey them. It costs less and keeps your hardware. Replace a lock when it is worn out, damaged, rusted from salt air, or when you want an upgrade like a smart lock. Our rekey and lock change page explains both.
